Ban federal help for gun registries

If enacted, Federal agencies would be barred from funding or supporting state firearm ownership databases. The bill would define such databases as full or partial lists of guns or people who own them. "State" would include each State, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and other U.S. territories. An exception would allow funding for databases that list guns or people reported as lost or stolen.
