Show federal share on funded projects
If enacted, agencies and anyone running a program paid in whole or part with Federal funds would have to disclose the federal share. They would have to show the percent of total costs paid with Federal funds and the dollar amount of those Federal funds. They would also have to show the percent and dollar amount paid by nongovernmental sources. The rule would apply to public documents like statements, press releases, requests for proposals, and solicitations. It would not apply to messages 280 characters or shorter; for those short messages, recipients would certify compliance in performance progress reports. OMB would set up an anonymous public reporting tool within one year and would annually review a random sample of public communications for compliance and publish the findings.
