Student visa reporting for colleges

If enacted, this bill would require every college or university that receives Federal funding or benefits to electronically send SEVIS a complete list of all students, faculty, and administrators at the institution who are not U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents. The data would have to be disaggregated by visa type. The first list would be due not later than 60 days after enactment, and later lists would be due not later than 30 days after each class registration deadline. Officials at the Departments of Education, Justice, Homeland Security, and State would be able to access the submitted information. The provision does not include penalties or other enforcement details in this section.
