Higher education stipends for veterans

If enacted, you would get higher Post‑9/11 payments for books, supplies, equipment, and similar school costs. The bill would change each $83 payment to $128 and each $1,000 payment to $1,500. Starting with fiscal year 2026, the VA would then raise those dollar amounts each year by the percent the CPI‑U rose compared with the prior 12‑month period ending June 30. Each annual increase would be rounded to the nearest dollar.
