Delays Medicare drug price negotiations
This bill would change when a drug can first be subject to Medicare price negotiation. For initial price years 2026 and 2027, a drug would need to be at least 7 years past approval. For initial price years 2028 and later, a drug would need to be at least 11 years past approval. If enacted, this could delay when Medicare and beneficiaries see lower negotiated prices for some drugs.
