Analyzed Economic Effects
2 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 0 costs, 1 mixed.
Plan for Glen Canyon hydropower impacts
If enacted, the Interior and Energy Secretaries would quickly enter a memorandum of understanding. The MOU would use existing hydropower contract data and focus on the July 2024 Record of Decision. The plan would address Basin Fund obligations like routine operations, maintenance, and replacement of critical infrastructure. It would also study impacts on hydropower at Glen Canyon Dam, including replacement costs and effects on grid reliability. The MOU would identify any effects on species listed under the Endangered Species Act.
Preserve Administrative Procedure Act rights
If enacted, this bill would say that nothing in the Act overrides rights and duties under the Administrative Procedure Act. That means people and groups could still use APA rules to challenge or respond to federal agency actions. This protection would take effect upon enactment.
