Cancel EPA rule on refrigerant gases

This bill would disapprove and nullify the EPA rule titled "Phasedown of Hydrofluorocarbons" (89 Fed. Reg. 82682, Oct 11, 2024). If enacted, the rule would have no force or effect and would no longer require compliance under the American Innovation and Manufacturing Act of 2020. Companies that make, import, distribute, service, or sell these refrigerant gases and substitutes would not have to follow the rule. The change would take effect upon enactment. It could lower costs for some businesses now and could increase pollution and raise consumer or replacement costs later.
