Keep CFPB 2022 credit-report rule

If enacted, this joint resolution would disapprove the CFPB rule published May 12, 2025 that withdraws the 2022 consumer-reporting rule. That would mean the CFPB's July 12, 2022 rule (87 Fed. Reg. 41243) about permissible purposes for furnishing, using, and obtaining consumer reports would remain in force. Consumers, consumer reporting agencies, furnishers, and businesses that obtain or use consumer reports would continue to follow the 2022 requirements.
