This proposed constitutional amendment would fix the Supreme Court's size at nine justices. It adds a new Article declaring the Court shall be composed of nine justices and requires that the amendment be proposed by two-thirds of both chambers and ratified by three-fourths of the state legislatures within seven years of submission for it to become part of the Constitution.
