Sponsored By: Senator Elizabeth Warren
Introduced
Summary
Memorialize those lost to the COVID-19 pandemic. It would honor people who died, recognize those still suffering from COVID-19 and long-term effects, and support an annual COVID-19 Victims Memorial Day on the first Monday in March, noting more than 103 million known U.S. cases and about 1.2 million deaths by February 2025 and highlighting disproportionate harm to low-income communities, communities of color, people with disabilities, people in long-term care and prisons, and frontline workers.
