Simpler energy assistance renewals for 60+

Beginning July 1, 2026, the Office of Home Energy Programs must create one standard way to recheck eligibility for energy assistance. It covers eligible customers who are 60 or older and helps them enroll and stay enrolled. The law lowers the age for this process from 65 to 60. The Office updates the process every year.
