Licensing boards extended through 2032

Maryland keeps several licensing boards running through July 1, 2032. This covers barbers and cosmetologists; land surveyors; real estate appraisers, appraisal management companies, and home inspectors; and individual tax preparers. Beginning June 1, 2026, these boards and their rules stay in effect, with regular reviews under the state evaluation law. The Labor Department must report on these boards to the Joint Audit and Evaluation Committee by July 1, 2030. The law adds no new fees or taxes; it extends current oversight.
