More funding for business sites and infrastructure

The state adds $59.5 million for business sites and infrastructure. It puts $29.5 million into site development grants, with $20 million set aside for Energy Ready work. It adds $20 million to industry incentive loans, $5 million to development infrastructure grants, and $5 million to port, airport, and rail loans. Eligible projects can apply through these existing programs. Funds are available upon passage through June 30, 2027.

Tourism workforce program gets funding

The state funds the Mississippi Tourism Association’s Workforce Program with $500,000 for Fiscal Year 2027. Money is available upon passage through June 30, 2027. These funds cannot be used for any cultural exchange program. Tourism workers and businesses in the program can get help through this funding.

Help for small towns and defense communities

The state provides $15 million to support communities. $10 million goes to grants for small towns and limited-population counties. $5 million supports areas affected by defense base closures or realignment. Funds are available upon passage through June 30, 2027.
