Veteran homeowners who get VA disability pay can qualify for the property tax exemption with a combined rating of 40% or higher. You also qualify if you have a total disability rating for a service‑connected condition. You must be entitled to and receiving VA compensation and meet the program’s residency, ownership, and age rules in RCW 84.36.381. The change applies to taxes levied for collection in 2027 and later. The act also says RCW 82.32.805 and RCW 82.32.808 do not apply; this does not change who qualifies or what you pay.
