The state college board gives grants for a regional pilot to expand CTE dual credit. Community and technical colleges, public high schools (grades 9–12), and regional skill centers can get funds. Money can pay for course catalogs, aligning classes with credential paths and apprenticeships, faster credit awards and transcripts, and staff training. It can also support student outreach, new articulation agreements, and equipment and supplies for high‑demand fields. Grants may last up to two years, and the pilot runs through July 1, 2030, subject to funding.
This law must get specific funding in the state’s omnibus budget by June 30, 2025. If the budget does not name and fund this act, the entire law is null and void. Without that funding, no pilot grants or other parts of the act take effect.
