Help finding and buying exempt farm fuel

Beginning October 1, 2025, the department posts a simple online list of places to buy exempt farm fuel. It shows seller names and addresses by county and city, but only if they sell exempt fuel at a different price and told the department. By the same date, the department publishes a guide that explains how to get remittance payments, with steps and required info from the licensing program. The guide also explains ways to buy exempt fuel, like through aggregators or card or membership options. The guide uses only information sellers share voluntarily.

Voluntary listing, no new penalties for fuel sellers

Fuel sellers, aggregators, and membership payment providers can choose to tell the department where they sell exempt farm fuel. Notices can include contact info, fuel types, and each location’s address and GPS coordinates. The law does not change who is a covered or opt‑in entity, does not add reporting, and does not add penalties for sellers that are not covered. Listing is optional.
