Beginning July 1, 2026, the board runs a stipend program only if money is specifically appropriated. You can get up to 80% of each eligible out-of-pocket cost for the board-approved substance use disorder monitoring program. Eligible costs include evaluations, treatment, drug tests, peer support groups, and related services. You must hold an active, inactive, or suspended credential under chapter 18.79 or 18.88A, apply on board forms, show financial need, and be in the program now or have finished within six months. You must document your expenses, and you cannot receive a stipend if you already took part in this stipend program before. The board sets the application and documentation rules.
Beginning July 1, 2026, the department or board does not post enforcement action details on public websites when certain conditions are met. You were ordered to contact the board-approved substance use disorder monitoring program and, if recommended, to participate. The board found you substantially complied. For third-party sites, this applies only when the department or board can stop the posting. This protects privacy for credentialed nurses and nursing assistants under chapters 18.79 and 18.88A.
