Behavioral health CE credit for electricians

Electricians can count up to 4 hours of department-approved behavioral health and wellness training toward required CE hours. The course must include at least 2 hours of instruction. It must cover destigmatizing behavioral health; signs of distress; suicide prevention; substance use disorder awareness and prevention; and peer support and how to connect to help.

Required behavioral health training for apprentices

Beginning July 1, 2027, building and construction apprenticeship programs must provide behavioral health and wellness training, and apprentices must complete it. The training is at least 2 hours of instruction, on top of other required class hours. It covers destigmatizing behavioral health; signs of distress; suicide prevention; substance use disorder awareness and prevention; and peer support and how to connect to help. New or updated program standards approved on or after July 1, 2027 must include these hours.
