Paid leave rules for dockworker reps

The law treats representatives for employers of dockworkers as the employer for paid family and medical leave. This applies when dockworkers work for several employers under a collective bargaining agreement. These representatives must handle employer duties, like reporting pay and sending in premiums. They do not have to report dockworkers who are not covered by that agreement, unless the worker is their own employee.
