Beginning July 27, 2025, leases for state-owned aquatic land adjust using the Seattle Consumer Price Index (CPI-U). The CPI-U is the all-items price index for the Seattle metro area from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Each year, rent and fee changes use the percent change from the previous year’s Seattle CPI-U. This can make your payments go up or down compared with the old measure.
