Quarterly backfill for county timber taxes

Beginning March 16, 2026, counties get a quarterly payment on the last business day of the second month of each quarter. The payment equals any tribal tax that was credited against the county’s timber tax under a revenue‑sharing agreement. The money comes from state timber tax collections. The state sends less to its general fund by the amounts paid to counties and by its share of collection and administration costs.
