150% Medicaid pay for reservation hospitals

Beginning January 1, 2027, the state pays rural hospitals on federally recognized Indian reservations 150% of the Medicaid fee-for-service rate. The rate applies to inpatient and outpatient hospital services those hospitals provide to Medicaid patients. It does not apply to beds in psychiatric units. The higher payments apply whether or not the patient is in managed care. This authority ends January 1, 2029.
