Beginning June 10, 2026, the state health bureau must add training on PANS and PANDAS for health care professionals within its current programs. The Commissioner, with the State Health Officer, must cover how to evaluate and treat these conditions. The bureau also adds PANS/PANDAS information to public outreach. Materials must note signs like OCD or tics, sudden start between ages three and puberty, a relapsing course, links to strep infection, and neurological findings. The law uses existing programs and adds no new funding.
