Beginning June 8, 2026, the Real Estate Division reviews each state agency’s property list every four years to verify records. It flags state-owned or leased sites that are unused or underused, as designated by the reporting agency. It gives the Governor and the Administration Secretary recommendations, including the highest legal use and other options. It also submits information to evaluate possible deals, including private proposals that could significantly benefit the state. These steps help the state manage, reuse, lease, or sell property more wisely.
