More disabled veterans qualify for tax relief

The law widens who counts as a disabled veteran taxpayer. You qualify if you have an honorable discharge and a VA service‑connected rating of 90% or higher. You also qualify if you meet VA rules for Individual Unemployability. With this status, you can claim state tax benefits that use this definition, including the disabled‑veteran real property tax credit.
