More funding to fix college buildings

The law gives $38,983,793 in fiscal year 2026 to the Higher Education Policy Commission to repair and upgrade public college buildings. It creates a new budget line for Institutional Deferred Maintenance under Fund 0589 (Org 0441, line 6a). The money comes from the state’s general revenue surplus. The law also moves $23,983,793 out of the Governor’s Civil Contingent Fund back to the surplus.
