Defines key words used in this subchapter. "Military child development center" means a child care site on a military base or on property run by the base commander, or any child care run by a military department secretary. "Family home day care" means home-based child care for service members by someone the military department has certified and who is paid regularly. "Child care employee" means a civilian DoD worker who works in a military child development center, whether paid from regular funds or nonappropriated funds. "Child care fee receipts" means nonappropriated money that comes from fees service members pay for child care at those centers.
