§20003 Members: minimum service requirement as applied to Space Force

Limits how the military’s minimum-service rule works for people who join the Space Force. The parts of that rule about serving in a reserve component do not apply to someone who becomes a Space Force member. If a Space Force member transfers to another military branch before finishing the required service, they are treated under the minimum-service rule the same as if they had originally joined that other branch.
