Title 10 › Subtitle Subtitle F— - Alternative Military Personnel Systems › Part PART I— - SPACE FORCE › Chapter CHAPTER 2003— - STATUS AND PARTICIPATION › § 20104
Space Force members who are in active status (but not on sustained duty) or in inactive status can be ordered to active duty, or kept on active duty, if they agree. The same rules that let reserve members be called up with their consent apply. That includes orders at any time with consent, orders for medical or health-care reasons, active duty for health care, and active duty while waiting for a line-of-duty decision in a sexual-assault response. Nine other reserve rules also apply the same way to these Space Force orders. They cover retention after qualifying for retired pay, using reserve officers when forces expand, release from active duty, types of duty, whether duty is paid, pay rules while on duty, duties and funding, the grade served in, and limits on ROTC assignments.
