§20216 Reports of selection boards

Summary

Each selection board must send a written report to the Secretary of the Air Force. The report must be signed by every board member, list the officers the board recommends for promotion, state that the board carefully reviewed the records given under section 615, and say that a majority believes the recommended officers are the best qualified to meet Space Force needs under the guidance in section 615(b). The report must also name any officer whom a majority thinks should have to show cause for continued Space Force active status under section 20503. When allowed by section 20215(g), the board must give names and the order it recommends for placement higher on the promotion list. The board may also recommend that an officer be excluded from future promotion consideration.
