Summary

An enlisted member of the Space Force with at least 20 but less than 30 years of service, as calculated under section 20604 of this title, can be retired if they ask, under rules set by the Secretary of the Air Force. An enlisted member with at least 30 years of service, as calculated under section 20604 of this title, must be retired if they ask.

(a)Under regulations to be prescribed by the Secretary of the Air Force, an enlisted member of the Space Force who has at least 20, but less than 30, years of service computed under section 20604 of this title may, upon the member’s request, be retired.
(b)An enlisted member of the Space Force who has at least 30 years of service computed under section 20604 of this title shall be retired upon the member’s request.
