§20605 Applicability of other provisions of law relating to retirement

Summary

Treat Space Force members the same as Air Force members for the retirement rules listed here, unless this chapter says something different. Rules that apply to Air Force officers or enlisted members also apply to Space Force officers or enlisted members. Rules for regular members apply to those on sustained duty. Rules for reserve members apply to those in Space Force active status but not on sustained duty. Rules for the Ready Reserve apply to Space Force members in active status before being ordered to active duty. Rules for the Retired Reserve apply to those retired under chapter 1223. This applies to these chapters of the law: 61, 63, 69, 71, 941, 945, 1223, and 1225 — covering disability retirement, retirement for age, retired grade, and how retired pay is computed, including retirement for length of service and non-regular service.
