Title 10 › Subtitle Subtitle A— - General Military Law › Part PART IV— - SERVICE, SUPPLY, AND PROPERTY › Chapter CHAPTER 131— - PLANNING AND COORDINATION › § 2210
A working-capital fund set up under section 2208 can keep enough money from selling certain property to pay the costs of selling it. Extra money from those sales can go into current Department of Defense appropriations. This rule covers sales of supplies, materials, equipment, and other personal property not paid for by the stock funds under section 2208. The Secretary of Defense, with the President’s approval, can charge obligations against expected reimbursements to stock funds without following fiscal-year limits. They can do this in the amounts and for the time needed to keep planned stock levels for the next fiscal year.
