The Secretary of Defense can sign a contract up to 10 years long to buy dinitrogen tetroxide, hydrazine, and related hydrazine products for a U.S. national security or U.S. space program. If the contract runs longer than one year, it may include options to extend it, but the total time under the contract cannot exceed 10 years.
