If a program manager of a major defense program that already filed a unit cost report believes during a quarter that the program’s acquisition or procurement unit cost (for the whole program or a major subprogram) has likely risen by at least the “significant cost growth threshold,” they must act. They must immediately send a new unit cost report to the service acquisition executive named by the Secretary. The report must include the information called for under section 4372 and show costs as of the report date.
