The Administrator for Nuclear Security can let site contractors create and run training and workforce partnership programs. These programs are meant to train current workers and people likely to apply for jobs that support plutonium pit production. Contractors may fund these programs with grants or other payments to pay for things like course design, teachers, equipment, use of facilities, scholarships, and fellowships. Covered facility: Los Alamos National Laboratory (Los Alamos, New Mexico) and the Savannah River Site (Aiken, South Carolina). Prospective employee: someone who has applied or is likely to apply for a contractor job supporting plutonium pit production.
