Apprehension — taking someone into custody. Anyone the military rules let arrest people or bring them to trial can arrest someone if they reasonably believe an offense occurred and that the person did it. Commissioned officers, warrant officers, petty officers, and noncommissioned officers can break up fights and arrest service members who take part.
