Title 10 › Subtitle Subtitle A— - General Military Law › Part PART II— - PERSONNEL › Chapter CHAPTER 47— - UNIFORM CODE OF MILITARY JUSTICE › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER IX— - POST-TRIAL PROCEDURE AND REVIEW OF COURTS-MARTIAL › § 860c
In a general or special court-martial, the military judge must put the court’s judgment into the trial record using rules the President sets. The judgment must include the Statement of Trial Results (see section 860) and any changes or additions made after trial because of action by the convening authority or rulings by the military judge that affect a plea, a finding, or the sentence. The judgment must be given to the accused and any victim and made available to the public. For a summary court-martial, the findings and sentence, as changed by any post-trial action by the convening authority under section 860b, are the court’s judgment and must be recorded and shared under the President’s rules.
