Anyone under military law who wrongfully threatens to hurt someone, damage their property, or harm their reputation must face punishment decided by a court-martial. If the threat involves an explosive, a weapon of mass destruction, a biological or chemical agent, or hazardous material, or if someone knowingly sends a false threat using those means, they must also be punished by a court-martial.
