Summary

If the person who owes money is an individual, the bankruptcy estate includes any property listed in section 541 that the person gets after the case starts and before the case is closed, dismissed, or converted to a case under chapter 7, 12, or 13 — whichever happens first. It also includes money the person earns from work during that same time. Unless section 1104 or a confirmed plan or an order confirming a plan says otherwise, the debtor keeps control of all estate property.
