Title 12 › Chapter CHAPTER 11— - FEDERAL HOME LOAN BANKS › § 1442
Requires top federal banking officials (the Secretary of the Treasury, the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Reserve Chair, the FDIC Chair, the NCUA Chair, and the Director of the Office of Thrift Supervision) to, when a Federal Home Loan Bank asks, confidentially share reports, records, and other available information about the financial condition of any member or any institution the Bank has dealt with or expects to deal with. These officials may also let their examiners or staff do confidential on-site exams for the Bank. To be a member of a Federal Home Loan Bank, each member is treated as already agreeing to allow exams the Bank or its Director needs, to let local, state, or federal exam reports be given to the Bank or Director on request, and to provide, when asked, information the Bank or a federal agency needs to make cost-of-funds indices and other reports or statistics about members.
