Title 12 › Chapter CHAPTER 17— - BANK HOLDING COMPANIES › § 1846
States keep any powers they now have, or might get later, to regulate companies, banks, bank holding companies, and their subsidiaries. States and their local governments may also make and enforce taxes (or methods of taxation) on banks, bank holding companies, foreign banks, or their affiliates, as long as those taxes are allowed by the U.S. Constitution and federal law.
