Title 12 › Chapter CHAPTER 24— - FEDERAL FINANCING BANK › § 2294a
Starting October 1, 1981, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development can make contracts to make regular payments to the Federal Financing Bank so the Bank can buy debt sold by local public housing agencies to finance public housing projects. Those contracts can only be made if Congress approves them in appropriation laws, and the total amount that can be obligated under the contracts cannot exceed $400,000,000. Congress may provide whatever money is needed to make the payments. This contract authority replaces other similar authority except for any authority given to the Secretary before October 1, 1981.
