Title 12 › Chapter CHAPTER 34A— - APPRAISAL SUBCOMMITTEE OF FEDERAL FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS EXAMINATION COUNCIL › § 3337
The Treasury Secretary must give the Appraisal Subcommittee a one-time payment of $5,000,000 on August 9, 1989. After that, the subcommittee’s expenses are paid from registry fees charged to certain certified and licensed appraisers, or by another required funding method. Any extra money beyond those sources must be approved and provided by Congress, except as another rule allows. By September 30, 1998, the subcommittee must repay any unpaid part of the $5,000,000 to the Treasury.
