Title 12 › Chapter CHAPTER 46— - GOVERNMENT SPONSORED ENTERPRISES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER I— - SUPERVISION AND REGULATION OF ENTERPRISES › Part Part B— - Additional Authorities of the Director › Subpart subpart 1— - general authority › § 4546
The Director can, by rule or order, decide that some information is private business information and should not be released under certain disclosure laws. If the Director says data submitted by an enterprise is private, the public cannot get it and no one may examine it while a final decision is pending. But, following privacy rules in section 304(j) of the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, the Director must make certain single‑family mortgage data public. That includes the same HMDA data banks report and the data the Director collects under section 4544(b)(6).
