Title 14 › Subtitle SUBTITLE II— - PERSONNEL › Chapter CHAPTER 27— - PAY, ALLOWANCES, AWARDS, AND OTHER RIGHTS AND BENEFITS › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER III— - PAYMENTS › § 2766
The Secretary can require that travel pay owed to a Coast Guard civilian employee or military member be sent straight to the issuer of their federal contractor travel charge card, but only up to the approved travel costs charged on that card. The Secretary can also set rules like those the Secretary of Defense made under 10 U.S.C. 2784a to deduct money from pay or retired pay when a Coast Guard employee, member, or retired member is behind on card payments and does not dispute the overdue amount.
