The Commandant must send a report to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure no later than 1 year after this law is enacted and every February 1 after that. The report must show the yearly costs of carrying out all defense readiness missions, including costs for the Coast Guard acting as an armed force in support of the Department of Defense or other military departments or Defense Agencies, costs for Coast Guard detachments assigned to those missions, and any other related expenses the Commandant thinks Congress should know.
