§1022b Presentation of analysis respecting short-term and medium-term goals in Economic Report of President; mutually reinforcing means

Title 15 › Chapter CHAPTER 21— - NATIONAL POLICY ON EMPLOYMENT AND PRODUCTIVITY › § 1022b

Last updated Apr 6, 2026|Official source

Summary

The Economic Report must include analysis to help set short- and medium-term goals for jobs, production, real income, and prices. It must explain how each goal should be shaped and how total national output should be divided among private investment, consumer spending, and government spending, taking into account income flows and other factors, to promote balanced growth, a balanced Federal budget, fewer business swings, and the aims of the Full Employment and Balanced Growth Act of 1978. When choosing how to cut unemployment and keep prices reasonably stable, use methods that help both goals at the same time whenever practical.
