§1269 Regulations

Summary

The Commission can make rules to enforce this part of the law, unless the law says otherwise. The Treasury Secretary and the Commission must work together to write rules for enforcing section 1273, unless that section says something different. Those rules must be issued with proper notice and will take effect when and how the Commission decides.

Title 15, §1269

(a)The authority to promulgate regulations for the efficient enforcement of this chapter, except as otherwise provided in this section, is vested in the Commission.
(b)The Secretary of the Treasury and the Commission shall jointly prescribe regulations for the efficient enforcement of the provisions of section 1273 of this title, except as otherwise provided therein. Such regulations shall be promulgated in such manner and take effect at such time, after due notice, as the Commission shall determine.
