§2416 Contracts and other funding arrangements

Summary

Contracts or funding under this chapter are allowed only if they meet three rules. They must match the chapter’s goals and be useful to other public or private users. They must include a plan to evaluate the demonstration and keep improvement data, with the evaluation done by the participants under the Center’s instructions or by the Center. Any new ideas or results from a Center-funded demonstration must be made public. No contract or funding can last more than three years. Any non-Federal share may be cash or fairly valued in-kind items, such as plant, equipment, or services.
